There are many different types of migraine headaches that you might suffer from. These include hemiplegic, retinal, basilar artery, and more. These types of headaches are very painful and can be debilitating for many people. Not everyone has the same symptoms but they are very painful.
Migraine headaches are excruciatingly painful. They can ruin the holidays for many people too. They bright lights from the lighted palm trees or artificial Christmas trees can trigger a migraine. Many migraine sufferers cannot enjoy the lights on the Christmas trees because the flashing and bright lights are too much to bear.
One of the common types of migraine headaches is called a hemiplegic migraine. This type of headache temporarily paralyzes an entire side of the body or can just include muscle weakness. These types of migraines are often confused with a stroke because of the symptoms. They often begin with symptoms which include numbness, dizziness, and even vision changes that will subside over time.
A retinal migraine is another type of headache that is common among most people who get these types of headaches. The pain often begins behind one of the eyes as a dull aching feeling. The pain may spread further beyond the eye to the rest of the head. This can cause temporary loss of the eye where the pain is in or even complete loss of vision in the eye during the headache.
A basilar artery migraine is another headache you may suffer from. This type of headache causes people to feel dizzy, confused, and even imbalanced before the headache. The back of the head is usually where the pain is felt. A person may be unable to speak properly, hear ringing in their ears, and even feel very nauseas. These headaches are most common amongst young women who are experiencing hormonal changes in their body.
The rarest type of migraine headache that people suffer from is called the status migraine. This type of headache is the most severe type you can get. It can last for up to several days at a time and can even be so intense that it will put the person in the hospital for care. There are medications known to cause these types of headaches. A person can also get this type of headache from medication withdrawal.
Another rare form of a migraine is called the opthalmoplegic migraine. This headache forms around the eye and includes paralysis of the muscles around the eye. This type of headache is rare and can cause an aneurysm because there may be too much pressure behind the eye that may damage the nerves and cause permanent blindness. Some of the symptoms of this type of migraine include seeing double, vision changes, and a droopy eyelid.
There are many different types of migraine headaches that you may suffer from. Some are very common and caused from light changes or even withdrawals of medications. Understanding the different types of migraines can help you understand if you need to seek immediate medical attention or if they are normal.

If you are a senior then there are many things you need to consider before you begin a new exercise routine. Your health is the most important thing and the last thing you want to do is become injured when you are just trying to be healthy.
If you have any heart issues you should always check with your doctor before you begin a new exercise routine. You may have discovered the problem when you were selected through the Green Card Lottery but now you know that it could be serious. Exercise does help strengthen the heart but let your doctor tell you what is safe and what is not safe. Some things with your heart you may question include the walls weakening of the outgoing blood vessels or narrowing of the valves of the heart. If you have these then you should consult your physician.
Another thing to consider is if you have issues with your feet or ankles. It is common for elderly to have sores on their feet and ankles that will not seem to heal and they continue life as if there is nothing they can do. Don’t deal with sores. When you begin a new workout program then the sores may make it very painful when you return home. Don’t think that relaxing to some candles, perfume and cologne are going to help the pain go away.
If you have fallen in the past and you have constant pain then you should consult your doctor. Any pain you are feeling should be consulted because there is usually a way that you can minimize the pain so it is bearable. Also, if you begin exercising and you feel any pain then you should immediately stop. Never continue your exercise routine in pain. You could be causing injury to yourself with every step that you take. Any type of pain is a bad pain. It may mean that you haven’t stretched enough, your muscles or joints are too weak, or something else. Don’t learn about your body after you have injured it. See your doctor if you feel pain when you exercise or before you even begin with a new routine.
Another consideration with a new exercise program is your eyes. As you get older it is common for eye problems to occur. You may not be able to see very well due to cataracts and other problems. You can have eye surgery to repair vision problems like cataracts or glaucoma. If you try to exercise with eye problems you are posing yourself to a bigger risk of falling down and injuring yourself. An injury for a senior is very hard to heal because your bones are no longer growing.
There are many things to consider if you are thinking about starting a new exercise routine and you are a senior. These things include if you are feeling any pain currently or when you start the new exercises, if you can see properly, any sores that cause you pain on your feet or ankles, and much more. If there is anything about your body that doesn’t feel right when you exercise then you should consult your physician.
